KRT QRT: Linking Cyclists through Camaraderie
KRT QRT: Linking Cyclists through Camaraderie
The Goal
The Queens Rule Together / Kings Rule Together (KRT QRT) Club began its journey in 2019, founded by four passionate cyclists based in northwest Philadelphia. They envisioned a community where riders of all levels and backgrounds could come together. Whether it’s gravel, road or mountain biking, KRT QRT is all about inclusivity and fostering a sense of unity among its members. To help bring this vision to life, the founders turned to Strava – a decision that would prove to be a game-changer for the club’s growth and camaraderie.
From day one, Strava became the backbone of KRT QRT’s strategy to build visibility, streamline event planning, and most importantly, create a tight-knit community. As one of the top platforms for cyclists, using Strava was an easy decision, says Curran Swint, the founder and CEO of KRT QRT.

👉 5 Key Considerations for Building a Community on Strava
“Our passion goes beyond cycling,” Curran explains. “What truly drives us is building camaraderie within our community and having a good time while doing it. Cycling is what brings us all together and amplifies our impact, not just with ourselves but with the people around us. It embodies lifestyle, community, travel and network.”
KRT QRT’s website captures this ethos perfectly: “We believe in the transformative power of cycling, and our goal is to help you discover the world by bike, connect with like-minded individuals and make a positive impact.” This mission is reflected in the club’s impressive Strava stats. Members collectively log 310 miles (500 kilometers) weekly, tackle 105-mile (170 kilometers) rides, and regularly conquer climbs of 14,763 feet (4,500 meters). These achievements are meticulously documented on their Strava Club, where members rally around each other with Kudos, comments and constant encouragement.
There is so much camaraderie within the club on Strava alone (...). As a member, it’s a benefit I didn’t even know I needed.Lani Woods, QRT Racing Team member
The club’s rapid growth is no accident. By leveraging Strava to its fullest potential – whether it’s promoting upcoming rides, tracking progress or simply celebrating each other's victories – KRT QRT has created an environment where members feel both connected and inspired. Lani Woods, a QRT Racing Team member, underscores this point: “It’s one of the most active clubs I’ve seen on Strava. A lot of different chapters post their rides on the Strava Club and even though it’s a private group it still gets loads of people requesting to join. As a member, I like being part of the club on Strava because it has a lot of information about what’s going on with the different club chapters and schedules. If I’m traveling, I can look on the app and see what rides are happening where, and I can join in. Plus, being able to see members’ stats and the leaderboard, it definitely keeps people engaged.”
This sense of belonging extends beyond just tracking miles or chasing personal records. As Lani notes, “There is so much camaraderie within the club on Strava alone, from people liking and complimenting your ride or segment, saying congratulations on your Queen of the Mountain (QOM) or your PR. As a member, it’s a benefit I didn’t even know I needed.”
KRT QRT’s success on Strava hasn’t gone unnoticed. The club recently won Strava’s 2023 Year in Sports award for ‘Most Active Club of the Year,’ a recognition that reflects the vibrant, supportive community they’ve built on the platform.
