How to Start a Club on Strava
Starting a Club on Strava is quick, easy and free! Simply follow the steps below and your Strava Club will be live in just a few minutes.
Anyone with a Strava profile can launch a Strava Club. To get started it's as simple as 1-2-3:
Starting your Club
Create your new Club: Go to strava.com/clubs and click on 'Create a Club' (in the top right hand corner of the page).
Tell people about your Club: You will need to give your Club a Title, Location and Description, but can also add website links, information about activities, and create a Vanity URL.
Upload a Profile Photo and Cover Image: Uploading Profile and Cover photos are a chance to 'colour in' your club, showing people your logo and images from your events. (Pro tip: for the best results make sure the dimensions of your profile photo are 248 px x 248px, and of your cover photo 1180px x 579px).
Pro tips for new Clubs
When setting up your Strava Club there are a few things you can do to help engage your users:
Include additional information on your profile. You can just include the Club name and location, but how about telling people about the Sport and Club types?
Descriptions matter. If you want people to join your Club, make sure you give it a good description. You don't need to write lots (sometimes less is more), but tell people about the Club and why it is worth joining.
Create a Vanity URL: This will make it easy to share your Club across different platforms. The Vanity URL should be something associated with your Club, for instance: strava.com/mynewclub.
Upload a profile photo: To get the best results, make sure the profile picture is 248px x 248px.
Upload a cover image. To get the best results your cover image should be 1180px x 579px.
Start posting. Now it's time to start engaging your audience. You can write as much - or as little - as you like, but to maximize engagement make sure you use photos or videos. There's more information about Creating Engaging Club Posts here.
Create Events. Events are a great way to activate your community on Strava. There's more information about Creating an Event here.

Club Admins
Strava Clubs can have multiple admins. This means that if you want more than one person to be able to post on your Club, you can give them the access to do so.
Club Admins have the ability to post in the club, create events and moderate conversations.
How to make someone a Strava Admin on your club:
Make sure they are already a member of your club.
Go to the Members tab on your Club page.
Hover over the name of the person your want to be an Admin.
'Make Admin' will appear. Click.
