How to Control Comments on Club Posts
Strava Club Posts are an essential way to drive community engagement. But while sometimes you want to encourage community conversation on posts, there might be times when you want to make an announcement and not allow commenting.
This is now possible on the Strava website and the Strava App. To do so, simply:
Navigate to your club and click Create New Post.
Write the Post - for best practices on creating Strava Posts see this resource page.
Beneath the box where you can upload a photo or video, you'll see a pre-ticked box saying 'Allow Commenting'. If you wish to prevent commenting on a Post, un-check the box.
Click publish.
You can check the Allow Comments box after a post is published. If comments are turned off after the post was published, it will hide any existing comments on the post. Note: the comments will not be deleted but they will be hidden.
Any Club Admin that has edit access to posts has the power to turn comments off and on.
